"The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; That they may teach the young women to be sober,
to love their husbands, to love their children,
To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed."
Hair, jewelry, nails, clothes yet, they look lovely and are not over done at all!
(They would've been pros at the "7 days in a dress" challenge. ;D Minus the different hairstyle each day part. Just kidding!)
Even though, as I've mentioned before, I do already wear skirts and dresses on a regular/pretty much everyday basis.
One of my best friends, Jen...who joined me in the 7 days in a dress...this was her day 7.
All of her outfits were WONDERFUL...and yes...she is always this stunning!!
So, as I am encouraged, I can only hope that through my own feeble attempts to work towards, not only an outward appearance of but, also a true love for and commitment to Biblical womanhood, homemaking and all things that are feminine and lovely.
So much so that my prayer is that in my own small way I can help, and encourage others to help, turn the tide of what today's women have allowed themselves to become; sluggish and unkempt housewives and manly, rough or lude (it's funny how such opposites can be so similar in their root motives) appearances and mannerisms of today's average woman...that have made their way in and established themselves as the "norm".
I believe that these undesirable, yet oh so "liberated", traits found in "women" today are the result of the rampant feminism that has infiltrated our nation.
And, in my personal opinion, it has been allowed to infiltrate because we as Christians have let it.
We should be the leaders. Not the followers.
I highly, HIGHLY recommend this DVD...
"The Monstrous Regiment of Women" .
If you're not sold on Biblical womanhood or Godly femininity or even if you're not 100% pro-life...and if you don't think there are any dangers involved with feminism...or abortion then, you will be after you've watched this documentary. It is one of my favorites and can't encourage you to watch it enough! It was the 2007 winner of the Jubilee prize at Vision Forum's San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival...and rightly so!
In case you missed my "7 Days in a Dress" posts:

Hello Esther!
I just found your blog and have really enjoyed visiting. It is so encouraging to visit other like-minded young ladies' blogs! I also enjoyed looking at the pictures from the 7 days in a dress challenge that you participated in. I look forward to reading your future posts!
God Bless,
Bethany
Hey Esther!
I love the new background - great choice! It is very bright, cheerful and summer-y. (which is good for you Americans, but us Aussies are freezing in our winter...) :)
Anyway, thanks for creating such a great environment on your blog where girls can grow and learn and have fun...

I love old photos like that-- for all the same reasons you mentioned and more. Of course, that generation had their own flaws, but there are definitely things that can and should be learned from them. Oh, and the background's bright, happy and cheerful- I like it. =D
Love the new background! Great post too!
Blessings,
Kate
This was such a fabulous post, dear Esther!!!
I am blessed to have you as a friend and know someone who is so passionate about Biblical Femininity as well!! *hugs*
Love~ Jen
P.S.
Have I told you already that I LOVE your new blog look?! You header picture is fabulous!!!! :>)
It is a beautiful depiction of femininity. I think it is funny when secular women see godly women as "put down" and "lowered". We have such a high calling from God, it is an honor to be the women he made us to be. Not strange versions of men. Wonderful post.
Have a Blessed Day,
Oriana
